After the fast

Matt 4:1-11 Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered
Not sure why I was directed here....wait... oh now I see. Yes another test. I am currently in verses 3-10...
I pray that God empowers me, so that I can (Help me Jesus) provide the word of God... Matt 6.:13)
and I will have to study this a little bit deeper, see.. How is it that the son of God, our Christ, who having just fasted, bringing on a physical hunger was able to provide, the enemy, not just anybody, with the word of God, spiritual food.....

I am reminded that Jesus mentions several times in the New Testament about the importance of fasting and prayer. When we fast, we purge the fleshly desires will strenghtening the spiritual.
and through this, Our Saviour(who already had the victory anyway) demonstrated to us, how to overcome temptations... Thank you God for the prompting and directing to your word. I open my heart to receive it and to clasp it and hold fast to it... For I need it to overcome.

Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
Mar 9:29
And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
